Weekly digital resources #28: HTML5 for mobile apps

Facebooktwitterlinkedinmail

This weekly bunch of digital resources targets one topic: mobile application development with HTML5.

Because I’m attending the ‘Hybrid Mobile App Development‘ course on the Coursera MOOC platform, I get useful links and resources about HTML5, and not only for a mobile app context.

Before starting anything, you can learn some relevant basics about Native, HTML5, or Hybrid: Understanding Your Mobile Application Development Options.

Another significant resource is this concise but complete chart that provides a mobile frameworks comparison.

If your project of mobile app development requires Node and the gulp package, there is this useful tutorial: Getting Started with gulp.

Start short: only 24 hours seems exaggerated, but this awesome blog post shows How to Build an iOS and Android App in 24 hours with HTML5 and Cordova.

Finally, this is ever interesting to learn how adding, removing, modifying and checking HTML5 Attributes with JavaScript thanks to @dudleystorey
